XRP ETF Approval
Surge in XRP ETF Applications
At least seven prominent investment firms have filed for XRP-focused ETFs, anticipating regulatory approval:
Bitwise Asset Management and Franklin Templeton have submitted applications for spot XRP ETFs, while 21Shares filed its application in late 2024.
WisdomTree and Canary Capital have also entered the fray, with Grayscale Investments planning to convert its existing XRP Trust into an ETF.
Volatility Shares has taken a more expansive approach, applying for three different XRP ETFs—a spot fund, a leveraged product, and an inverse ETF.
These filings highlight the growing interest in providing regulated exposure to XRP, a trend bolstered by former President Trump's mention of XRP as a potential addition to the U.S. government's "Digital Asset Stockpile" initiative.
Prediction markets
Prediction markets have become increasingly optimistic, with Polymarket reflecting an 82% chance of XRP ETF approval in 2025, a 10% increase over the past week.
Though approval timelines remain uncertain, the SEC's evolving stance on cryptocurrency regulation has significantly improved the outlook for XRP-based investment products.
